Edwin Wint is currently the CEO /Chairman of Better Homes & Garden Real Estate firm. He possesses over 40 years of experience in the real estate industry and brings a wealth of professional expertise, leadership, and community engagement to the Board of Directors. He has served as a director of the Real Estate Board and the Private Sector Organization of Jamaica (PSOJ) and formerly served as a Vice President of the Optimist International.
Beyond his real estate practice, he lecturered at the University of Technology (UTECH). He is a graduate of St. Jago High School, and holds both a BA and an MBA, along with multiple international professional designations.
Edwin looks forward to supporting the SJHS Foundation’s mission and contributing to its continued impact.
The Rev. Patrick G. Perrin, a native of Spanish Town, Jamaica, W.I is a Retired Elder in the New York Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church (UMC) and was the Pastor of the ST. JOHN’S UMC OF ELMONT, in Valley Stream, N.Y. at the time of his retirement.
He has pastored churches in Trinidad and Tobago and in Jamaica, and since the 80’s in Brooklyn, New York. – EBENEZER WESLEYAN METHODIST CHURCH; ST. MARK’s UMC of BROOKLYN; and HANSON PLACE CENTRAL UMC.
Since Retirement, he has pastored the Janes United Methodist Church in Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, and the North United Methodist Church in Hartford, Connecticut.
Pastor Perrin is married to Pansy Perrin (née McKoy). In addition to their four children: Ayesha, Ayanna, Ayodeji and Ajahni and five grand-children: Emery and Teodor (twins), Mason, Ayla and Ember, he enjoys reading, board games (especially Dominoes) watching sports, travel, music (all genres), playing the piano and organ, choral singing and cooking. He produces the Radio Program, “Sunday Evening Praise” hosted by Pastor Omar Hall, Maureen Gordon and Yvonne Talbot-Andrews, and heard every Sunday 9:00 – 10:00p.m. on IrieJam Radio, FM 93.5 in the New York Tri-State Area.
Since retiring from active ministry on July 1, 2019 Pastor and Mrs. Perrin reside in Queens, New York.
Patricia, at a very young age, discovered her passion to assist others in becoming a better version of themselves. For over 50 years, she has emersed herself in service to marginalized groups, from tutoring youth and adult learners, to developing programs to combat poverty, crime, food insecurity, and environmental challenges. She has received several commendations and awards for her contribution to community relations and youth development.
Her journey of service began as a high school student volunteer at a youth center, where she participated in the food, clothing, book, and toy drives for underserved communities. The deep appreciation that the recipients expressed for those gifts, cemented her resolve to continue in service to others. She would later serve as President of the National Neighbourhood Watch Movement in Jamaica, a community outreach project of the Jamaica Constabulary Force, for crime prevention and intervention. Her efforts caught the attention of the Commissioner of Police in St. Vincent and she was invited to share crime fighting and neighborhood safety tips.
An advocate of safety, diversity, equity, and inclusion, Patricia forged a special bond with at-risk teenage students through the local Safe School Programme. She has facilitated motivational and peer counseling sessions, using her writings of poetry and songs as talking points to address social issues, choices, and personal development.
A native of Jamaica, Patricia was educated at the prestigious St. Jago High School, in Spanish Town, and later at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas, where she earned her Master of Science in Organizational Development and Leadership. She currently resides in the USA and continues to touch many lives and impact communities.
Keith has spent over five decades in the world of banking, investments and finance having joined Bank of Nova Scotia Jamaica Limited during the second half of the 1960’s. In 1971 he was transferred to Bank of Nova Scotia in New York, USA; the first and only Jamaican to date to have achieved that distinction. In 1975 was appointed Financial Comptroller for Bank of Nova Scotia Jamaica Limited, the first Jamaican and youngest person to have held that position. During the early 1990’s he worked with the Eagle Commercial Bank as Deputy General Manager and General Manager and served for one year as Managing Director of Eagle Merchant Bank Jamaica Limited.
In 2000 he joined JN Fund Mangers Limited as their first General Manager, shortly after the company was launched. He served for a short period as Deputy Managing Direction of JN Bank Limited in 2019 and was subsequently appointed an Assistant General Manager of the Jamaica National Group Limited in September 2019.
John is a graduate of St Jago High who represented the school in track and field .He is also a former Head Boy.
He is an attorney at law and has been for more than 50 years . He is currently a consultant at Dunncox one of the leading Law Firm in Jamaica. He was also the President of the Jamaican Bar association for 2 years the normal time. He has served as chairman of the Foundation for many years and is a founding member. He serves on several Boards including Special Olympics. He is also the current chairman of the Scouts Association of Jamaica . He has served as the manager of St Jago HS Track team and count among his achievement the school winning both boys and girls champs. He is also a fellow of the chartered institute of Arbitrators. He is married to Eleanor and has three children.
Dr. Brown is an internationally acclaimed physician. Dr. Ewart Brown was educated at Central School (Victor Scott) and Berkeley Institute in Bermuda; St. Jago High School in Jamaica, W.I., and at Howard University in Washington, DC, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. He earned his M.D. at Howard’s College of Medicine, and a M.P.H. from the University of California at Los Angeles. Dr. Ewart Brown is a member of several professional organizations. He has held such significant positions as Trustee of both Howard University and Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science, and Assistant Professor of Drew’s Department of Family Practice.
Ewart Brown came to St. Jago from Bermuda and fell in love with Jamaica. After representing the school in track, cricket and football, he moved on to Howard University where he enrolled in the pre-med program and was elected Student Body President. Brown earned his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1972 and moved to California where he practiced for 20 years.
He returned to Bermuda in 1993 and established Bermuda Healthcare Services. In that same year he was elected to Parliament and in 2006 he became the Premier of Bermuda, a post he held until 2010.
Ewart is married to Wanda and they have three sons.
